Bachelor of
Science Degree in Pharmacy State University of New York at Buffalo Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Michigan
Dr. Witte has been a faculty member as an associate professor
teaching at the University of Illinois at the College of Pharmacy for over 25
years. Also, during this time he was the Director of the Hospital Pharmacy
and Ambulatory Care pharmacies at University of Illinois Medical
Center. As director he was responsible for the budget and operations of all
pharmaceutical services. During his last 5 years at the University,
he was director of new Business/Academia Ventures for the College of
Pharmacy where he was responsible for the development of outreach health and
wellness programs that linked to various businesses. He developed alliances
with pharmacy retailer chains, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other
health organizations to ensure consumers receive safe, evidence based
advice on health and pharmaceutical care products. Presently, he is a consultant to a high tech information company and
to a company that focuses on wellness for consumers.
Nauman Haider is currently a Doctor of Pharmacy student at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. Having practiced in community pharmacy for more than six years, he has passed technician certification exams from both the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS). A student member of the American Pharmacist's Association and Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, he has competed and placed nationally in the National Patient Counseling Competition, and his team placed locally in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Competition. Nauman intends to complete a pharmacy practice residency after graduation.
